I live in Arizona near the Superstition Mountains, with my family. After I retired from my career as a corporate webmaster I decided to pursue my dream of using the written word to tell fantasy adventure stories .

About Spinicals

Spinicals and Dreads are mortal enemies, and they are beings of light and energy who wield lightning and many mythic powers. At five years old Mica was powerless to stop the malicious Dread leader, Deedra, from capturing his mother. Mica's survivor’s guilt has since haunted him. Now thirteen, and in the depths of the Superstition Mountains, Mica’s powers arrive with a bolt from a Spinical-powered storm, nearly killing him. As he recovers, a ghostly Navajo spirit guide will befriend him.

Then there's Estee, a thirteen-year-old Spinical girl, who arrives from a cruel non-Spinical orphanage, and she doesn’t trust anyone. Both victim and victimizer, she knows there is no such thing as love. But the Spinicals and charismatic Mica shows her something different: a life of hope, a future. Will she embrace it?

Ultimately, it's a story about choice and ourselves, and how the choices we make can make a difference.
